Open to all sides
It’s a world record: a maximum concentration of 84 oBrix in continuous operation with a process accuracy of ± 0.1 oBrix. Achieving such spectacular results for hot sugar dissolving processes has been made possible by the Contisolv-H from Miteco. However, obtaining individual values isn’t the only important thing. Ever since the early days of Miteco, all its technological developments have been shaped by the desire to achieve the right relationship between efficiency and effectiveness. In other words, how to achieve the maximum output for customers in each project while ensuring the lowest possible consumption of materials and energy, both in terms of the construction of the plant as well as its operational usage.
The added value principle
The reason for this attitude is simple: the companies for which Miteco develops and constructs complete plants and plant sections are quality leaders in their markets. This is where we feel our actual challenge and responsibility lies. This is why it is almost a matter of principle that Miteco’s ambitions should reach beyond fulfilling ‘normal’ requirements. It goes without saying that we achieve the stipulated level of quality in our products and processes, as well as ensuring that all pre- and post-production stages are linked in a smooth and transparent manner. For us, it is more important to see how we can exceed each customer’s expectations. Miteco sees itself as a creative director who helps to provide better and more extensive process solutions to its customers’ project aims. This often leads to the development of new products. We feel that this is essential for an industry that regards innovation as the dominant driving force in achieving market success.
The supremacy of hardware
This clear superiority of Miteco technologies lies in our focus on process technology. Imaginative and painstaking research based on scientific principles, coupled with elegant realisation in terms of engineering and technology, guarantees our customers the highest added value for every investment they make. This is in contrast with other plant concepts which must compensate for deficiencies in their process technology by using overdimensioned software to make continuous corrective adjustments while the plant is in operation. However, automation is not the optimal way forward as it conceals weaknesses rather than taps into potentials. The construction and design of a plant gives a clear indication of this from the outset. Miteco has a ‘reduced’ plant concept; it consists of few component groups, minimal use of moving parts and clear layout even when it comes to the plant’s peripheral surroundings. The internal characteristics of a Miteco plant are just as impressive, regardless of whether the production process is a batch, continuous, simultaneous or alternating process.
